Basketball Recap: Kaplan Comes Up Short

After flying high against Crowley on Tuesday, Kaplan came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the Rayne Wolves by a score of 35-33 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost four in a row.

Kaplan's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Rayne, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Kaplan has already played their next matchup (against Jennings), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rayne will take on Eunice in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
