Basketball Recap: Red Lion Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Red Lion Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Wilmington Friends Quakers, falling 66-23. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 59-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Red Lion Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Wilmington Friends, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-5.

Red Lion Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 82-51 defeat against Odyssey Charter on the 31st. As for Wilmington Friends, they will venture away from home to challenge Archmere Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Archmere Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Wilmington Friends has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
