James Buchanan proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Delone Catholic Squires 3-2. For the Rockets, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Squires walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

James Buchanan was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-103), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 18-25, 15-12.

James Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

James Buchanan and Delone Catholic will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rockets will take on rival Waynesboro at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Delone Catholic is set to challenge their familiar foe Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
