Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors

The Mountain View Mountain Lions will venture away from home to take on the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Mountain View made easy work of Forge Christian and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mountain Lions.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy posted their closest victory since April 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past Fort Lupton 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bluedevils: they've now won four in a row.

Eagle Ridge Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-5.

Mountain View's record is now 2-5. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, their record is now 3-1.

Mountain View came up short against Eagle Ridge Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Mountain View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
