Basketball Game Preview: Parkers Prairie Panthers vs. Underwood Rockets

The Parkers Prairie Panthers will challenge the Underwood Rockets at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Parkers Prairie is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Wheaton just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 67-55 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Warriors are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, Underwood fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Brandon/Evansville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 80-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (63), the Rockets still had to take the loss.

Parkers Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Underwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
