Volleyball Recap: Altamont Takes Down Manila in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Altamont walked away with it. They came out on top against the Manila Mustangs by a score of 2-0 on Friday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory back in August.

Altamont can attribute much of their success to Chezney Bywater, who had nine digs and two aces. Bywater is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Altamont's victory bumped their record up to 10-19. As for Manila, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Altamont has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Monument Valley on the 25th. Manila does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
