Volleyball Recap: Pawnee City's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Pawnee City can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sterling Jets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pawnee City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Denielle Gyhra, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Gyhra has posted since back in September. Kaylee Turnbull also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Pawnee City was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Pawnee City's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Sterling, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pawnee City beat the Jets by a score of 2-0 on Monday.
