For the first time this season, Bay will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Marmaduke Greyhounds at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bay will be strutting in after a win while Marmaduke will be coming in after a defeat.
On Tuesday, Bay was able to grind out a solid victory over Maynard, taking the game 13-10.
Anna Rolland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and seven unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Alexis Taylor was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mallory Craig, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Marmaduke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-6 to Maynard.
Buck Aubrie and Coffell Camryn stepped up to the plate in a big way. Aubrie went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Camryn went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Vandergriff Savannah, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
The win got Bay back to even at 1-1. As for Marmaduke, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything went Bay's way against Marmaduke in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Bay made off with a 22-11 victory. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greyhounds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
