Softball Recap: Rockcastle County Takes a Loss

Rockcastle County was the 18-1 winner over George Rogers Clark when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets fell 10-5 to the Cardinals on Saturday.

Macy Spivey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kylee Fletcher, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Rockcastle County's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for George Rogers Clark, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Coming up, Rockcastle County will head out to challenge Pulaski County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for George Rogers Clark, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montgomery County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
