After a string of six wins, Richland's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Hermiston Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Richland wouldn't go down easily and took Hermiston into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 19-25, 15-13.

Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Hermiston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Richland nor Hermiston have any future games scheduled.
