Volleyball Recap: Greenfield Knights vs. Community Christian Cyclones
Greenfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Community Christian Cyclones, falling 3-0. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cyclones apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2020.
While Greenfield was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-17.
Community Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Libby Bass led the charge by getting six digs and four aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Bradshaw, who had four digs and one block.
Greenfield now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Community Christian, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Looking ahead, Greenfield will head out on the road to take on John Paul II Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Community Christian, they will host Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
