Basketball Recap: Karmello Walker and Adam Chaffin Secure Win for Browne

Browne's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 76-54 margin over the South Mountain Jaguars. For the Bruins, this counts as revenge for the 65-39 win the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.

Browne was led to victory by Adam Chaffin and Karmello Walker. Chaffin went 6 of 11 on his way to 18 points along with eight boards and seven blocks, while Walker dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most blocks Chaffin has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Raevonta Hill, who posted eight points and four steals.

Browne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Browne's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for South Mountain, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

Browne will challenge Cibola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Mountain, they will take on Camelback at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Camelback knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully South Mountain likes a good challenge.
