Basketball Recap: Elida Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Elida waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 63-59 W against the Van Wert Cougars. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Cougars are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Elida pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points over those games. As for Van Wert, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
