Volleyball Recap: Autumn Cline and Lilly Kerns Secure Win for Benjamin Logan

Benjamin Logan saw some tournament action on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Eaton Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-101) Benjamin Logan actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 15-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.

Leading Benjamin Logan to victory were Lilly Kerns and Autumn Cline. Kerns had ten digs, while Cline had two aces and two assists. That's the most digs Kerns has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Benjamin Logan was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in six consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Eaton lost, don't look at Maddyn Davis. Despite the final result, she had six aces and five digs.

Benjamin Logan's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Eaton, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-9.

Coming up, Benjamin Logan is taking a road trip to take on Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
