Volleyball Recap: Waukegan Comes Up Short

Waukegan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marengo Indians. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Waukegan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Marengo, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Waukegan has already played their next contest (against Elk Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Marengo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Round Lake on the 20th.
