Basketball Game Preview: Seneca Bobcats vs. Walhalla Razorbacks

Having just played yesterday, the Seneca Bobcats will get right back to it and host the Walhalla Razorbacks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seneca has given up an average of 67 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Seneca earned an 81-68 victory over Wren. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Hurricanes are ranked 129th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Walhalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 62-51 to Tallulah Falls.

The win made it two in a row for Seneca and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.0 points over those games. As for Walhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Seneca was able to grind out a solid win over Walhalla in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 70-61. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Razorbacks' Tyler Lusk, who shot 55% from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points and six boards. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Bobcats to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
