Basketball Recap: Trinity Catholic Piles Up the Points Against Umatilla

Trinity Catholic won the last time they faced Umatilla and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trinity Catholic Celtics blew past the Umatilla Bulldogs 60-29. The Celtics pushed the score to 49-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

Trinity Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emmanuel Sandoval led the charge by going 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadiel Jimenez, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Umatilla lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ray Jenkins, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Norflee, who had seven points.
