While Oakland's victory against Riverdale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Warriors 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 2nd.

Oakland was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-23, 24-26, 20-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Carlina Bauer paced Oakland's offense, picking up 24 kills. Bauer got some help from Ellie Knox and her 44 assists. Stella Logan controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Bre Putnam and Mila Holt certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Putnam had 30 digs and one assist, while Holt had 11 digs and two aces.

Oakland has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Riverdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Oakland will square off against St. George's at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverdale, they will take on Jackson County in a tournament on Friday.
