Basketball Game Preview: Alief Elsik Rams vs. George Ranch Longhorns

The Alief Elsik Rams will take on the George Ranch Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Alief Elsik came up short against Iowa Colony and fell 43-31.

Meanwhile, George Ranch entered their tilt with Columbia on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 45-41 win over the Roughnecks.

George Ranch's win came from a few key players Alief Elsik will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Genesis Obanla, who posted 21 points and eight rebounds. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Vashti Pollard, who put up six points in addition to ten steals and five boards.

George Ranch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.

Alief Elsik's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for George Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.

Alief Elsik strolled past George Ranch when the teams last played back in November of 2023 by a score of 50-35. Will Alief Elsik repeat their success, or does George Ranch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
