Baseball Game Preview: Byron-Bergen Bees vs. Alexander Trojans

The Byron-Bergen Bees will challenge the Alexander Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alexander took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Byron-Bergen, who comes in off a win.

Byron-Bergen is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Webber on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-3 victory. The Bees haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The Bees are 2-1 when McConnell posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dylan Utter, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Pembroke hit Alexander with a six-run fifth inning last Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 12-2 to the Dragons. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Alexander and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Byron-Bergen, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
