Baseball Recap: Cherokee Takes a Loss

Cherokee lost against Sullivan East on March 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Cherokee fell 7-3 to Sullivan East.

Cherokee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Weston, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Sullivan East, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee will host Morristown-Hamblen East at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee is facing Morristown-Hamblen East at the right time seeing as Morristown-Hamblen East is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sullivan East, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lebanon at 6:00 p.m.
