Basketball Recap: Aidan Bingaman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Upper Dauphin Area over Greenwood

Upper Dauphin Area lost against Greenwood back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans fell 51-42 to the Greenwood Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 650th, while the Wildcats are ranked 309th).

Upper Dauphin Area's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Bingaman, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Groff, who put up 11 points.

Upper Dauphin Area dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Greenwood, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Upper Dauphin Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-33 loss against Camp Hill on the 18th. As for Greenwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 46-33 win against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy on the 21st.
