Basketball Recap: Riley Cooper and Ryann Brinkman Secure Win for Northmor

Northmor hadn't done well against Danville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Northmor Golden Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Danville Blue Devils, sneaking past 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Knights have posted against the Blue Devils since January 25, 2020.

Leading Northmor to victory were Ryann Brinkman and Riley Cooper. Brinkman posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Cooper had nine points and four steals. Brinkman is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Shelby Cooper, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Northmor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

Northmor's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4. As for Danville, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Northmor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-39 defeat against Fredericktown on the 20th. As for Danville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-17 loss against Loudonville on the 20th.
