Santa Barbara had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 75-41 win over the Ventura Cougars. The Dons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Ventura's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Finn Fancher, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Roman Chavarria, who scored ten points.

Santa Barbara has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Ventura, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-15.

Santa Barbara will welcome San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in San Marcos' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Ventura, they will venture away from home to square off against Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ventura is facing Buena at the right time seeing as Buena is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
