Softball Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Side Steers, falling 16-0. The Parrots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Steers from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for North Side, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Polytechnic will face off against Paschal at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Parrots surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Side, they will venture away from home to square off against South Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Steers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scorpions have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
