Recap: Valdosta Wildcats vs. Cook Hornets
The Valdosta Wildcats put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Cook for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-33 win at home. The result was nothing new for Valdosta, who have now won three games by 33 points or more so far this season.
Israel Jenrette was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Jenrette is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Valdosta has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 7-0 record. As for Cook, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Valdosta will be playing at home against Westover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westover will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Valdosta is ranked eighth). As for Cook, they will head out on the road to face off against Clinch County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
