Soccer Recap: Long County vs. Savannah Country Day
If Long County was riding high off their 8-0 takedown of Liberty County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Long County Blue Tide fell 3-1 to the Savannah Country Day Hornets on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Long County of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Long County's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3. As for Savannah Country Day, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Long County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
