Volleyball Recap: Strath Haven Comes Up Short

Strath Haven was the 3-1 winner over Conestoga when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

Strath Haven took Conestoga into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Conestoga was led to victory by Julia Long and Leighton Hornaday. Long had 11 digs and two aces, while Hornaday had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, Long posted two assists, the most she's had over her last four contests. Ava Chung was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Strath Haven now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Conestoga, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Strath Haven has already played their next match (against Council Rock South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Conestoga, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Germantown Academy on the 11th.
