Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Lynx vs. Bishop Blanchet Bears

The Lincoln Lynx will head out to face off against the Bishop Blanchet Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Bishop Blanchet will be up against a hot Lincoln team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Lincoln came out on top against Lakeside by a score of 64-56 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 75-62 victory over the Seahawks. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Seahawks are ranked 305th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Blanchet is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Lincoln, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Lincoln came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Blanchet when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 60-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
