Westview and Prairie Heights are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. The Westview Warriors will head out to take on the Prairie Heights Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westview will be strutting in after a victory while Prairie Heights will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Westview against Jimtown as the team secured a 45-17 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Westview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Bontrager out in front who posted ten points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Bontrager a new career-high in points. Bre Cory was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 11 points and eight rebounds.
Westview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 7 offensive rebounds per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 8.9.
Meanwhile, Prairie Heights came up short against Angola on Friday, falling 53-32. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Hornets are ranked 113th).
Westview will need focus on slowing down Bailee Godsey, one of several Prairie Heights players who made an impact when they last played. She had nine points and three steals. Godsey is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily McCrea, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.
Westview now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Prairie Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Westview has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 25.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Prairie Heights struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Westview strolled past Prairie Heights when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 29-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
