Volleyball Recap: Washington County Takes a Loss

Washington County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Thursday.

While Washington County ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Rocky Mount Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Washington County is set to square off against their familiar foe North Edgecombe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Rocky Mount Prep will take on rival North East Carolina Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
