Baseball Recap: Oak Hill Wins Going Away Against Eastern

Oak Hill came out on top against Eastern on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Oaks were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Eagles. The Oaks have beaten the Eagles the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Not much got past Mikey Williams, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Eastern off the board.

On the hitting side, Eddie Abele was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times he's played.

Oak Hill hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive contests.

Oak Hill's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Eastern, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Oak Hill will welcome Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern, they will head out to face off against Peebles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
