Baseball Preview: West Marion Trojans vs. Seminary Bulldogs

The West Marion Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Seminary Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have allowed few runs on average, (West Marion: 2.9, Seminary: 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

West Marion is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Enterprise by a score of 7-3. Seven seems to be a good number for West Marion as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Nik Carney made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Carney has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
