Joaquin picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They came out on top against the Grapeland Sandies by a score of 5-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

The team relied heavily on Trenton Runnels, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Kason Stanaland was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Joaquin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Grapeland, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
