After flying high against Franklin Academy last Monday, Don Soffer Aventura came back down to earth. The Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dr. Krop Lightning on Thursday. The Barracuda were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lightning apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 22-25, 25-13, 25-16.
Even though they lost, Don Soffer Aventura was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive matchups.
