Calhoun Academy came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Clarendon Hall Saints 67-19. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-8.

Calhoun Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hunter Thornburg out in front who posted ten points along with six boards and three steals. Jordan Noell also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

Calhoun Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Clarendon Hall, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun Academy will venture away from home to challenge Thomas Sumter Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clarendon Hall, they will head out to square off against Dorchester Academy at 7:35 p.m. on Thursday.
