Basketball Recap: Denton Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Denton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Ryan Raiders on Saturday as the Denton Broncos made off with a 79-59 win. The Broncos pushed the score to 58-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

Denton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Sheats, who posted 21 points. Sheats' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Lojok Loliwa was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Denton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Ryan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

Coincidentally, Denton and Ryan will both be playing Birdville the next time they take the court. Denton will host Birdville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Ryan will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
