Basketball Game Preview: Knoxville Central Bobcats vs. Pigeon Forge Tigers

The Knoxville Central Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Pigeon Forge Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Knoxville Central has eight straight wins, Pigeon Forge has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

While Knoxville Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 65-59 W over Karns on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bobcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Beavers are ranked 224th).

Meanwhile, Pigeon Forge came up short against Carter on Friday and fell 74-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (64), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Knoxville Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Pigeon Forge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
