Football Recap: Steele Takes a Loss

Steele fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Midview on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 14-7 to the Middies. The Comets just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

It was another big night for Marcus McMahon, who rushed for 116 yards and one score for Midview. McMahon has become a key player for the Middies: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Steele's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Midview, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Steele does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Midview, they will take on Rocky River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' defense has only allowed 14.3 points per game this season, so the Middies' offense will have their work cut out for them.
