 Brushton-Moira couldn't quite beat St. Lawrence Central on Monday, but the two-run margin was a huge improvement compared to the nine-run  loss they were dealt  last Saturday. The Brushton-Moira Panthers fell just short of the St. Lawrence Central Larries by a score of  12-10. Brushton-Moira just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
  Broc Allen was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Corbin Cox was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all two of his plate appearances with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Brushton-Moira was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with three  doubles. That's the most  doubles they've managed all season.
 Brushton-Moira's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for St. Lawrence Central,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Brushton-Moira will be playing in front of their home fans against Parishville-Hopkinton at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Brushton-Moira is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8  runs per game  this season. As for St. Lawrence Central, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Tupper Lake at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
