Baseball Game Preview: Desert Ridge Jaguars vs. Marana Tigers

The Desert Ridge Jaguars will head out to challenge the Marana Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Desert Ridge lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Williams Field, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Jaguars blew past the Black Hawks 9-1 on Thursday.

Desert Ridge let Mason Gamboa and Max Gamboa run wild. Mason went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double, while Max scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Those four RBI gave Mason a new career-high. Max Abalos also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Marana can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Rincon/University. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since March 19th.

Desert Ridge's record now sits at 6-13. As for Marana, their record is now 7-13.
