Softball Game Preview: Myrtle Point Bobcats vs. Toledo Boomers

Myrtle Point hasn't had much luck against Toledo recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bobcats will look to defend their home field against the Boomers at 4:30 p.m. Myrtle Point has given up an average of 16.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Myrtle Point is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Waldport, falling 19-4.

Meanwhile, Toledo waltzed into their matchup on Friday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Reedsport a 3-0 shutout.

Not much got past Kealey Coxen, who gave up just five hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Reedsport off the board.

Toledo pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Myrtle Point, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
