Basketball Recap: Hitchcock County Comes Up Short

Hitchcock County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Elm Creek Buffaloes.

It was another big night for Quin Oberg, who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine rebounds for Elm Creek. The game was Oberg's third in a row with at least 24 points. Ethan Fries was another key player, putting up nine points.

Hitchcock County's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Elm Creek, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

As of now, neither Hitchcock County nor Elm Creek have any future games scheduled.
