Basketball Recap: Jackson County Comes Up Short

Jackson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 59-42 to the Jenkins Cavaliers.

Jackson County's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Jenkins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson County will take on Prestonsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Jackson County is facing Prestonsburg at the right time seeing as Prestonsburg is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jenkins, they will be playing at home against Hurley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
