Basketball Recap: Howe Piles Up the Points Against Wolfe City

In Saturday's Canine Competition, Howe came out on top. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 47-19 stomp they got against the Wolfe City Wolves. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Despite the defeat, Wolfe City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Adams dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. That was a full 57.9% of Wolfe City's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

The win got Howe back to even at 6-6. As for Wolfe City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Howe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-42 loss against Gunter on the 31st. Wolfe City has also already played their next game, a 49-44 defeat against Miller Grove on the 30th.
