Soccer Game Preview: Desert Hot Springs vs. Desert Mirage

The Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles will face off against the Desert Mirage RAMS at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Desert Hot Springs fell victim to Cathedral City and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Desert Mirage waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 5-3. The score was all tied up 3-3 at the break, but the RAMS were the better team in the second half.

Desert Mirage has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those six matchups. As for Desert Hot Springs, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6-2.

Desert Hot Springs might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Desert Mirage in their previous matchup last Tuesday. Can Desert Hot Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
