Ankeny Centennial faced Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Jaguars narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Ankeny Centennial was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 15-6.

Ankeny Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
