Basketball Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

Clark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 36th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Faith Lutheran Crusaders, falling 71-12. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-3.

Faith Lutheran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasmyn Jackson out in front who went 5 for 10 on her way to 14 points. What's more, Jackson also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Abby Blake was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 13 points and five boards.

Clark's loss dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Faith Lutheran, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-11.

Clark will head out to take on Bishop Gorman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Bishop Gorman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Faith Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Democracy Prep Agassi Campus knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Faith Lutheran likes a good challenge.
