Northern Valley is 1-9 against Stockton since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Northern Valley Huskies will be staying on the road to face off against the Stockton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Northern Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Stockton will be coming in after a defeat.
Northern Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 56-21 win over Weskan. That looming 56-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Northern Valley yet this season.
Northern Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Austyn Cox, who scored seven points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Cox hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Delaney Sides was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Stockton unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on January 4th. They were dealt a 49-12 defeat at the hands of Norton. Stockton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-5.
Northern Valley's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8. As for Stockton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-1.
Northern Valley beat Stockton 56-44 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northern Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
