Softball Recap: Pearland Takes a Loss

Pearland was the 8-4 winner over Summer Creek when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Pearland Oilers lost 11-3 to the Summer Creek Bulldogs on Saturday.

Pearland's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Summer Creek, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Coming up, Pearland will take on Foster at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pearland is facing Foster at the right time seeing as Foster is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Summer Creek, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Channelview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Summer Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Channelview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
